It is the month of December and every one knows what season it’s right, no it is not the winter period that I’m talking about but the Christmas season, the season of happiness, joy, cheer along with a lot of laughter.
Christmas brings with it a complete transformation in everything around us, even though we still stay the exact same individuals but the total environment shifts during the Christmas period. It’s like all of a sudden everyone has become happy, and everyone has a smile on their face. Walk down the road and each and every one whom you see will wave at you or greet you. It may even be the same person with whom you had an argument previous month, or might be your neighbour whose last name your don’t remember but they all greet you or at the very least give a smile when you walk past them. It appears like the same uninteresting neighbourhood has suddenly erupted with happiness and fun instantly that is the impact of the Holiday period.
Christmas celebrated on December 25, which commemorates the birth of Jesus of Nazareth. Although a Christian holiday, Christmas is widely celebrated by many non-Christians, and some of its popular celebratory customs have pre-Christian or secular themes and origins. Popular contemporary customs of the holiday include gift-giving, listen classic Christmas songs, an exchange of greeting cards, church celebrations, a special meal, and the display of various arrangements; including Christmas trees, lights, and garlands, mistletoe, nativity scenes, and holly. Additionally, Father Christmas (recognized as Santa Claus in some areas) is a popular mythological figure in many nations, related with the bringing of presents for children.
Christmas Day is celebrated as a major festival and general public holiday in many nations of the world, even in many whose populations are not majority Christian. In certain non-Christian nations, times of former colonial rule introduced the celebration, in others, Christian minorities or foreign cultural factors have led populations to see the holiday. Across the globe, Christmas celebrations can differ substantially in type, reflecting varying cultural and national traditions. Countries like Korea and japan, exactly where Christmas is popular despite there being just a small number of Christians, now utilize many of the secular elements of Christmas like gift-giving, decorations and Christmas trees.
Apart from all of the happiness and joy that is in the air during the Christmas period there’s also a lot of music in the air also. It might not be the usual rock and pop numbers but the Christmas Songs or better recognized as Christmas Carols. Christmas is famous for these songs as in the Christmas period almost each and every house that you visit may have these carols playing; this sweet sound of classic Christmas songs list adds the already pleasant atmosphere all around.
Some of the well-known Christmas songs for kids are “Away In a Manger”,”Coventry Carol”,”Go Inform It on the Mountain”,” Hark! The Herald Angels Sing!”, “Joy to the World” and you will find a whole lot more. These carols are sung as soon as the Christmas period begins. They’re not only sung inside the churches but also in small events at home’s throughout this season. And then there is the carol parade in which a group of individuals which include individuals from the church , go around from house to house to spread to joy and happiness of Christmas.
